Our locally sourced beef is matured for a minimum of 35 days.
We marinade our Somerset free-range chicken breasts in Cornish buttermilk for 24 hours for ultimate tenderness.
Our recipe sauces & infused honey are created in our own kitchen.
All meat is supplied fresh by Meat at The Shambles and all burgers are flavour profiled to perfection, it takes a lot of effort but we're sure you'll agree it's worth it.
getting smashed is a complex science
The technique of smashing beef patties originated in 1920’s USA.
As with all the best recipes, smashed burgers were stumbled upon by accident… legend has it a burger patty broke apart on the grill during cooking.
Attempting to save the day, a cook pressed it back together with a tin can which resulted in an incredible sear, providing a flavour profile as yet previously undiscovered.
We smash our beef on a grill surface temperature of 300°C to ensure a crisp sear on the outside, whilst guaranteeing all the juices & flavours are retained inside.
